A chance for a breather!

The end of this week has been really pleasant for me.  On Wednesday I had my VTCT Level 3 Diploma exam in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.  I had not been looking forward to it and had been stressing myself about it.  Thankfully I passed first time and got a fairly good result.  So, that makes my recent exam scores:
Swedish Massage - Considerations & Contra-indicatione = 83%
Swedish Massage - Anatomy & Physiology = 85%
Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology = 93%

I feel really positive about that.  It also means that I can go on to do Aromatherapy in September, building upon what I have already learned about some of the essential oils available and naturopathic remedies.

I also has my assessment in using counselling skills on Thursday evening and that went really well too.

That left the end of the week relaxed and with enough time free to make and send my dad a Father's Day card:

At the moment I am half way through the second block of refresher NLP Practitioner course. Things are certainly making a lot more sense and I am shifting some personal things for myself too, so that is really good too. I am feeling a lot more competent. It's been good to see familiar faces and to catch up and of course to see new faces and make new friends.

I am doing an Introduction to Counselling evening class on Thursday evenings. I have been getting some good feedback on both written and practical skills work. One of the pieces I wrote for homework took the form of a diagram. This has been photocopied and the tutors will be using it as a handout on the next cycle of classes, so that feels really good.

Hello and welcome to me new blog!  This is my first post.

I was asked to try to help sort out the custom background of my friend's new blog, something I did with some basic maths and a little bit of Photoshop.  She writes about the hand-made greeting cards that she makes and posts up photos.  A lot of them involve a neat bit of paper engineering, which makes them different from a lot of the cards we see in the shops.

Back onto subject, since playing around with her blog last week I've fancied having a go at starting one myself, so here I am, typing away and listening to Druidcast on iTunes.

So what am I going to be writing about?
Well, I have a variety of little hobbies such as re-enactment, making jewellery and crafty things, but another interest of mine is complimentary therapies. Now, saying that, I want to know the concepts behind things rather than just excepting why something either works or doesn't work "because it does."

Basically, I'm interested in the diffferent ways of 'healing' or stimulating the para-sympathetic nervous system.  I like to find out what things are and how things work.  My plan is to use this blog to explore some of my ideas. If you agree wih me, that's fine, and if you don't agree with me then that's also fine, but please do let me know why so I can better tell where you are coming from.
